Description: The sculpture is a gift to mark the 27th Wedding anniversary, the couple's journey together. As the statue is moulded by hand, so as the marriage has been worked into something of beauty by the couple over 27 years. These two sculptures are handmade using sheets of off-white / buff earthenware clay and the main body including the head is thrown on the pottery wheel, deformed and joined together. When the clay is leather hard the design is carved into it. Stamps are then used for adding details. Once biscuit fired, the ceramic statue is modestly decorated with oxides and colourful glazes to emphasize the natural colour and texture of the clay.

  • Each statue is unique, no two pieces are exactly the same.

Size:  21.5cm tall x 14cm wide approx.
