The National Trust

I couldn't wait to let you know about my latest collaboration.

Last year I was approached by The National Trust to make a selection of my ceramic pieces for them. I made a trip to Heelis, to the National Trust's head office,  the sustainable award-winning building. We finalised an order for Poppy Head cane toppers and Plant pot stakes.

The orange Poppy Seed Head bird bath & feeder, tea light holder or decoration for the garden, patio or large pot.

The pot stakes labelled with barcodes and ready to be boxed.

Back in my studio, I was getting on with preparing the order. Apart from making the actual ceramic Poppy seed heads and Pot stakes, it also involved researching the right boxes for safe packaging, how to make safe delivery to the NT distribution centre, designing the labels including the barcodes and filling in the required forms.

Once the order is made and the copper-plated wire is attached to the pot stakes, it is time to label all the products with my labels and the barcodes. After a few hours of making sure all is well wrapped and boxed with the correct labels attached to the boxes, then everything is ready to load into the car. I went for the option of self-delivery to reduce the possibility of breakage.

The sets of 3 pot stakes are ready for boxing.

And finally, the car is loaded and ready for the trip.

Poppy heads and pot stakes have been delivered and distributed to The National Trust shops around the country. The set of 3 pot stakes is also included on the National Trust Shop Website. You can check this here

Ceramic Stake Pot Stem, Set of 3

Overview on National Trust Website

This delicately detailed set of three ceramic stakes enhance the garden's summertime colour when placed amongst a flower bed or in flower pots outside.

Featuring three flower and bird designs inspired by British nature, the stakes will create movement and interest as the long stems gently sway in the wind.

These unique ornaments are handmade in the UK from stoneware clay, making them weatherproof and frost resistant for all seasons.

These treasures make a thoughtful gift for those who love gardening, or why not post these flowers as a bouquet instead of fresh ones to celebrate your loved one's special day with these everlasting flowers!
