ART & SCULPTURES IN THE VINEYAR WITH 42 ARTISTS ON SHOW.
It was amazing to take part in the Art & Sculptures Show, where visitors were able to sip the award winning Cuvée, strolling the meadows and gardens with so many beautiful and entertaining pieces. A selection of the beautiful 150 works of art and sculpture that were on display over the last few weeks from some of the 42 artists. This year the vineyard was a-buzz and attracted record numbers during the two week opening! Many works of art sold to excited owners which benefit not only the artists but also resulted in fabulous support to a local charity - Cherry Trees. Incredibly, with your entrance donations, 10% of all art sales and all cream teas served on the NGS day, over £11,000 was raised. A record of which they are enormously proud - just astonishing and beyond their expectations. It was the perfect antidote to the start of 2020 and the High Clandon Estate Vineyard can't wait to do it all over again, in 2021.
Fresh news from the Vineyard this week, is receiving a gold medal for Endymion Cuvée, in the Wine GB Awards 2020, maintaining the record of at least one GOLD for each of their vintages to date!
And there is one more Award! Sustainability and working in harmony with nature have always been important to High Clandon. You had a chance to take a look at their wildflower meadow and meadow-flower-coloured beehives....and now, they have a certificate to prove it. As a Founder Member of Sustainable Vineyards WineGB and in the vanguard they are one of the first vineyards to receive the Sustainability Award from WineGB!
